  1. On the Go Snacks

I’m currently prepping for vacation number two of the summer! As I mentioned in my post about travelling, I always pack healthy snacks with me during travel. It’s important to have easy to travel with goodies so you don’t end up snacking on gas station or airport junk food. I usually don’t purchase many of these types of packaged snacks, as I prefer fresh fruits, vegetables, and other fresh healthy snacks at home. Travelling, however, is an exception!

If you’ve never tried the Activated food brand, you must! They are packed fulled of nutritious, energy boosting superfood and all sorts of goodness. The ingredients are very clean and low in sugar. What’s even better is the nuts are soaked and easier on the tummy. If you can tolerate nuts, nut based granolas are good because they pack fat and protein to keep you satiated–just watch the sugar content! Meat sticks are also great for quick protein. When you order from Thrive, you have a much greater variety of wholesome, clean, healthy snacks to choose from, many of them grain free.

2. BPA Free Canned Goods

I don’t buy many canned groceries, as I prefer fresh or frozen to canned. However, coconut milk, tomato sauce, and the occasional black beans are some canned items I like to have on hand. Lately, I’ve discovered canned salmon, which freaked me out at first. I don’t have good access to fresh wild caught salmon in my small town, so I opted to try the canned version. It’s actually pretty good, and it is highly portable! Thrive offers all BPA free canned food with no additives or fillers!Need some ideas on where to buy healthy groceries and save money? They even have Simply Mills almond crackers, pizza dough, and cake mix, if paleo is your thing! Buckwheat is my current obsession, and I’m in love with these Eden Select Soba Noodles.
