The Best Non-Toxic Makeup for Tiny Beauty Queens and the Mamas that Love Them

Need non-toxic makeup designed especially with little girls in mind? Look no further for natural glitter, lip gloss, makeup, and much more from Prim and Pure! Read my review at crunchymamascience.comDoes anyone else have a little diva living in their house? I know I do. Okay, she is only 16 months old, but the girl loves putting on necklaces, scarves, and pretty things. Seriously, her second word was “shoe”! As a kid I used to have about 100 lip smackers, glitter roll-ons galore, and all the smelly goods in the world. It’s important for me to give my daughter all the fun and imagination I can, but I also want to keep her away from artificial fragrance, harsh chemicals, and other yucky ingredients.

I was so very excited when I got Prim and Pure‘s package in the mail! Just like a little girl, I had to test out every item immediately upon arrival. My little one is too small to truly appreciate pretties yet, so I had to bring in reinforcements to test the products out!

Enter the five year old niece:

Does anyone have a five year old girl? They are full of opinions, ideas, and lots of sparkles! And they know things. Everything, in fact.

I knew I could get a good review if I put it in the hands of the five year old; so, here it is! Broken down by product.

Chapstick: Blue Balmer

What does it smell like? “Smells like blueberries.”

How does it make you feel? “Feels good and fancy. My lips feel not itchy. Tastes like blueberries.”

What would you tell your friends about it? “It’s slippery. It’s better than mommy’s and I would play with my friends.”

As you can see, the products passed with flying colors by our little princess! But, what do the mamas think?

When it comes to clean ingredients, Prim and Pure does an excellent job. They use safe and high-quality ingredients for their products and that makes a mama happy! My sister and I enjoyed the lip gloss and cream eye shadow quite a bit! The cream eye shadow even made an excellent cheek brightener.

Prim and Pure also makes the most adorable unicorn brushes that I need to try, and they have glitter. What else do you need to know? Also, for the gentlemen in your life, they make non-toxic hair wax!

The nail polish was thick and went on well; it stayed on with hand washes but did come off easily when soaked in warm water (no need for harsh acetone!). The perfume we tried (Secret Garden) smelled aaahmazing and now I want to try them all! Also, I’m going to need to order some pressed powder eye shadow next.

So basically, Prim and Pure covers all your needs for both the princess and the queen—all safe, non-toxic, and exquisitely made. What’s even better is that they are very affordable!

  1. I will have to check this out! I was recently in a pinch and had to buy MAC foundation at an airport (seriously….in a pinch lol) anyways, I didnt want to waste the whole bottle so I have been using it. My three year old got in to it the other day and it broke her face out something awful!! She loves to play makeup so it would be great to have her own special set of real makeup.

  2. I love the way you have reviewed the products from a 5 year old’s perspective. It makes it so endearing. I wanted to get some special makeup for my daughter but wasn’t sure what to get. Do thank your niece for her honest reviews!

  3. Surprised to read the above post. The reviews given by the kids about the beauty products they used is truly amazing 🙂 My daughter is also fond of using my lipsticks, and she decides the color of the eyeshadow by herself depending on her outfit. She is very particulat about the way she looks 😀
